Creativity, Connection, and Community
July 5 - July 12
Creativity, Connection, and Community
Program Leaders: Cris Anderson, Elinor Anderson-Genne, Parker Anderson-Genne, and Tom Johnson
Explore and express spirit and creativity through dance, song, story-telling, and more.
Join the Anderson-Genne/Johnsons, an intergenerational UU family of artists, in sparking creativity and building community through movement, story-telling, and visual art. Cris, Elinor, Parker, and Tom will each share their varied gifts in movement, arts, and joy-making, through dance, yoga, pilates, singing and storytelling, poetry, and painting. Each day will be different and inspired by our group energy and interests. We will explore in the woods and in conversation and artmaking. Bring an instrument (if you have one) for music jams, a sketchbook, and art supplies. This week is about exploring and creating.
Elinor Anderson-Genne is a photographer, painter, yoga, and pilates teacher and runs Kairos Alive, an art and health care non-profit. Parker Anderson-Genne is a classically-trained opera singer. She has been a teacher and leader with Kairos Alive for 15 years. Tom Johnson is a master guitar teacher, performer and composer. Cris Anderson is a documentary filmmaker with a background in theater who also plays folk fiddle.
