Helping Hands Week
June 7 - June 14
Helping Hands Week
Program Leadership Team: JoAnne Berkenkamp, Tim Dirr, Duane Peterson, Milo Rochester, and Steve Schreurs
Fix, plant, clean, build, or organize stuff to help get UniStar ready for the summer!
We’ll have plenty of projects for campers of all ages and abilities, with no experience needed. The plan for this year includes (in addition to the usual items) tree planting, cabin siding and painting, cleaning, window screening and glazing, kiosk organizing, indoor and outdoor lighting, deck and step repairs, landscaping, and firewood. Project teams may include painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, groundskeeping and spiffing up. Team leaders will offer guidance and instructions as we work together. Join us for the week and try something new!
Although there will be no formal youth or children’s programs, enthusiastic young workers are welcome. Mornings are spent on camp projects while afternoons provide time for hiking, swimming, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, bird watching or just relaxing. Join the UniStar family for Helping Hands 2025 to participate in projects that will benefit camp in the decades to come while making memories you can cherish forever!
DISCOUNT: Reduced fees this week, plus Helping Hands Week campers may register for just a portion of the week (at a pro-rated price) and can also register for a second program week at the same time.
